Remembering Dresden

A few weeks ago I posted on and linked to an essay that dealt with the dilemma modern Germans face vis a vis historical memory. Central to that essay was the Allied bombing of Dresden, on February 13, 1945.
No surprise, there is a ton of historical writing to be found on line, on the 60th anniversary of the event. I came across this fascinating piece, which has links to others as well as some photos of the bombed out city.
