The Super Bowl Champs
From the top of Mt. Diablo,
To the mudflats of the bay;
All the Oakland Raider fans,
Were waiting for the day.
It was sunny in Miami,
It was freezing in Green Bay;
It was drizzling in Oakland,
But the teams were set to play.
The captains met at center field,
And Oakland won the toss;
The Raiders vowed they would not yield,
'Til Green Bay's goal they crossed.
Their halfback took it in the air,
Returned it to the twenty;
Eleven Packers met thim there,
He said that he'd had plenty.
The mighty Green Bay Packers,
By the end of the first play;
Showed the Oakland Raiders,
Who would win that day.
"It's luck," my classmates told me,
That Green Bay won that day;
The lucky team was Oakland,
That Grabowski didn't play!
Yours truly
